There is no other time in the year to litter your home with reds, greens and snow. So make the most of this small festive period and be ready for when it hits! Decorate your home in the most wild and wonderful way with as many accessories as you can muster and always add more sparkles.
The centre piece of every home should be a tree, assuming you are celebrating Christmas, and it truly needs to be celebratory. There is nothing worse than a half done, half tired tree, so add your own personal flare to your holidays with a few home-made pieces. Most importantly there has to be something edible, maybe it isn’t the classiest decoration but it adds a sort of innocence to the tree. Even if you don’t have little ones to hunt for it, you can still create a traditional, personal feel to your tree with a few gingerbread men or any shape they happen to come out as!
Obviously for those going for that glamorous, Vogue Christmas, you’ll be tempted to steer away from the personal touches and go for the classic store bought silver or gold to make your tree festive enough to blind someone. Although this look can be stunning, it has been played out and anyone is able to achieve it, why not test yourself this year? Try your hand at creating a wow factor that is individual and unique, mix things up with one off decorations and a colour scheme to blend with your interior or even your wrapping paper if you want to create a spectacular Christmas scene!
Big Things, Small Packages
As important as the trees are the gifts check out our We Heart It account for some wrapping ideas (link below). As always, we love the personal touches and hope to bring that into the presentation of our presents. Get creative and use rustic paper with a homemade wreath to give a very festive and traditional vibe.
There are lots of individual ideas to be found online with several interesting guides tailored to each individual, even blackboard wrapping, so take a look around and make your something special extra special.
At the end of it all it only matters how much fun you have this year, and if that involves a bare tree and a few Christmas cards then who can say you’re wrong? Make sure to enjoy yourselves and embrace the spirit that brings people together this time of year!
And a happy new year! Fern xx
